EMPLOYEES' COMPENSATION CLAIMS AND EXPENSES
For the payment of compensation and other benefits and expenses (except administrative expenses) authorized by law and accruing during the current or any prior fiscal year, including payments to other Federal agencies for medical and hospital services pursuant to agreement approved by the Bureau of Employees' Compensation; continuation of payment of benefits as provided for under the head "Civilian W a r Benefits" in the Federal Security Agency Appropriation Act, 1947; the advancement of costs for enforcement of recoveries ^° ^*^*' ^'^^• in third-party cases; the furnishing of medical and hospital services and supplies, treatment, and funeral and burial expenses, including transportation and other expenses incidental to such services, treatment, and burial, for such enrollees of the Civilian Conservation Corps as were certified by the Director of such Corps as receiving hospital services and treatment at Government expense on June 30, 1943, and who are not otherwise entitled thereto as civilian employees of the United States, and the limitations and authority of the Act of 39 September 7, 1916, as amended (5 U.S.C. 796), shall apply in provid- Stat. For expenses, not otherwise provided for, necessary for the work of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, including advances or reimbursement to State, Federal, and local agencies and their employees for services rendered, $12,667,000. R E VI S I O N O F THE C O N S U M E R P R I C E INDEX
For expenses necessary to enable the Bureau of Labor Statistics to revise the Consumer Price Index, including not to exceed $250,000 for temporary employees at rates to be fixed by the Secretary of Labor (but not to exceed a rate equivalent to that for general schedule grade 9) without regard to the civil service laws and Classification Act of 1949, as amended, $2,100,000.

WOMEN'S BUREAU SALARIES AND EXPENSES
For expenses necessary for the work of the Women's Bureau, as authorized by the Act of June 5, 1920 (29 U.S.C. 11-16), including purchase of reports and material lor informational exhibits, $668,000.
