GALLAUDET COLLEGE SALARIES A N D EXPENSES

For the partial support of Gallaudet College, including personal services and miscellaneous expenses, and repairs and improvements, as authorized by the Act of June 18, 1954 (Public Law 420), $1,256,000: ^8 Stat. 265. ^^_ Provided, That Gallaudet College shall be paid by the District of 1025 e't s'e°q. Columbia, in advance at the beginning of each quarter, at a rate not less than $1,295 per school year for each student attending and receiving instructions in elementary or secondary education pursuant to the Act of March 1, 1901 (31 D.C. Code 1008). CONSTRUCTION

For construction, alteration, renovation, equipment, and improvement of buildings and facilities on the grounds of Gallaudet College, as authorized by the Act of June 18, 1954 (Public Law 420), under the supervision of the General Services Administration, including planning, architectural, and engineering services, $601,000, to remain available until expended. HOWARD UNIVERSITY SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For the partial support of Howard University, including personal services and miscellaneous expenses and repairs to buildings and grounds, $7,007,000. P L A N S A N D SPECIFICATIONS

For necessary expenses for the preparation of plans and specifications for construction, under the supervision of the General Services Administration, on the grounds of Howard University, of a men's dormitory, a warehouse service building, and site planning, including architectural and engineering services, $211,000, to remain available until expended. For the construction and equipment of a physical education building and powerplant facilities under the supervision of the General Services Administration, on the grounds of Howard University, including engineering and architectural services and travel, $4,447,000, to remain available until expended.
