Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, notwithstanding the provision of section 212(a)(9) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Giuseppe Aniello may be issued a visa and admitted to the United States for permanent residence if he is found to be otherwise admissible under the provisions of that Act: Provided, That this exemption shall apply only to a ground for exclusion of which the Department of State or the Department of Justice had knowledge prior to the enactment of this Act. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of the W a r Claims Fund, to Theodore T. Reilmann, Cincinnati 38, Ohio, the amount certified to him under section 2 of this Act. The payment of such sum shall be in full settlement of all claims of Theodore T. Reilmann against the United States for detention benefits under section 5(a) through 5(e) of the W a r Claims Act of 1948, as amended by the W a r Claims Amendments of 1954: Provided, Th&t no part of the amount appropriated in this Act shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. SEC. 2. The Foreign Claims Settlement Commission shall promptly determine and certify to the Secretary of the Treasury the amount which would have been payable to Theodore T. Reilmann as detention benefits under section 5(a) through 5(e) of the W a r Claims Act of 1948, as amended by the W a r Claims Act Amendments of 1954, as if Theodore T. Reilmann had filed a claim therefor within the period prescribed by law: Provided, That his claim shall be filed within six months from date of enactment of this Act. Approved April 13, 1962.
