estate and other property needed for the location, construction, improvement, maintenance, and operation of additional bridges over or across the Pelaware River and Bay as are possessed by railroad corporations for railroad purposes in the State in which such real estate or other property is situate, upon making just compensation therefor, to be ascertained and paid according to the laws of such State, and the proceedings therefor shall be the same as in the condemnation or expropriation of property for public purposes of such State." AN ACT To amend the District of Columbia Trafllc Act, 1925, as amended, to authorize the Commissioners of the District of Columbia to assess reasonable fees for the restoration of motor vehicle operators' permits and operating privileges after suspension or revocation thereof.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United^ States of America in Congress assembled, That the first sentenciB of subsection (a) of section 6 of the District of Columbia Traffic Act, 1925, as amended (43 Stat. 1121; sec. 40-603(a), D.C. Code, 1951 edition), is amended by striking "issuance and revocation of operators' permits" and inserting in lieu thereof "issuance, suspension, and revocation of operators' permits and the suspension and revocation of operating privileges, including rules and regulations assessing reasonable fees to reimburse the District for the cost of restoring suspended or revoked operators' permits and privileges, such fees not to exceed the amount of $5 per restoration". Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 4 of the Act of July 12, 1960 (Public Law 86-629; 74 Stat. 462), is amended by striking out the figure "$6,000,000" and inserting the figure "$12,000,000"^ in place thereof.
