S. products HnHed States of America In Congress a.^sembled^ That (a) the article, sembled abroad.a s description of item 807.00 of the Tariif Schedules of the United Tariff treatment. Stat. 949. •States is amended by striking out the comma after "exported" in 79 USC 1202. 19 clause (a) and by striking out "for the purpose of such assembly and return to the United States,'". (b) The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply with respect to articles entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption on or after the date of the enactment of this Act. Upon request therefor tiled with the customs officer concerned on or before the 120th day after the date of the enactment of this Act, the entry or withdrawal of any article— (1) which was made after August 80,19H8, and before the date of the enactment of this Act, and (2) with respect to which the amount of duty would be smaller if the amendments made by subsection (a) applied to such entry or withdrawal, shall, notwithstanding the provisions of section 514 of the Tariff A d 734. of 1930 or any other provision of law, be liquidated or reliquidated 46 Stat. 1514. 19 USC as though such entry or withdrawal had been made on the date of the enactment of this Act. SEC. 2. (a) The headnotes of schedule 7, part 7, subpart A of the Stat. 379. Tariff Schedules of the United States are amended by adding at the 77Au s e 1202. 19 end thereof the following new headnote: "4. Buttons (whether finished or not finished) provided for in item 745.32 which are the product of an insular possession of the United States outside the customs territory of the United States and which are manufactured or produced from button blanks or unfinished buttons which were the product of any foreign country shall be subject to duty under item 745.32 at the rate which applies to products of such foreign country." (b) Paragraph (a) of general headnote 3 of the Tariff Schedules 77A Stat. 11; of the United States is amended by striking out "Articles" in subpar- Ante, p. 1521. agraph (i) and inserting in lieu thereof "Except as provided in headnote 4 of schedule 7, part 7, subpart A, articles". (c) The amendments made by subsections (a) and (b) shall apply with respect to articles entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption after the 120th day after the date of the enactment of this Act.
