NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

For necessary expenses, not otherwise provided for, including research, development, operations, services, minor construction, supplies, materials, equipment; maintenance, repair, and alteration of real and personal property; and purchase, hire, maintenance, and operation of other than administrative aircraft necessary for the conduct and support of aeronautical and space research and development activities of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, $8,925,000,000, to remain available until expended. CONSTRUCTION OF FACILITIES

For advance planning, design, and construction of facilities for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and for the acquisition or condemnation of real property, as authorized by law, $35,900,000, to remain available until expended. ADMINISTRATIVE OPERATIONS

For necessary expenses of operation of the National Aeronautics and Sj^ace Administration, not otherwise provided for, including uniforms or allowances therefor, as authorized by law (5 U.S.C. 5901; 80 Stat. 299); minor construction; supplies, materials, services, and j,^ll^^^^206^ equipment; awards; purchase of not to exceed three and hire, mainte- " ^' P* nance and operation of administrative aircraft; purchase and hire of motor vehicles (including purchase of not to exceed twenty-three passenger motor vehicles, for replacement o n l y); and maintenance, repair, and alteration of real and personal property; $628,000,000: Provided, That contracts may be entered into under this appropriation for maintenance and operation of facilities, and for other services, to be provided during the next fiscal year. GENERAL PROVISIONS
