SEC. 1714. (a) Section 207 of the Housing Act of 1961 is amended 75 Stat. 165; by inserting after the words "improved means" the following: ^^42'^usc°i436. ", including the study of self-help in the construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of housing for low-income persons and families and the methods of selecting, involving, and directing such persons and families in self-help activities,". SEC. 1715. Section 5 of the Southeast Hurricane Disaster Relief Act of 1965 is amended by striking out "three years after the appropriation of funds for this study" and inserting in lieu thereof "June 30, 1969".
