FOREIGN CLAIMS SETTLEMENT COMMISSION SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For expenses necessary to carry on the activities of the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission, including services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109; allowances and benefits similar to those provided by title IX of the Foreign Service Act of 1946, as amended, as determined ^^ s*^*- 1025; by the Commission; expenses of packing, shipping, and storing per- ^^22 USC 1131sonal effects of personnel assigned abroad; rental or lease, for such 1159. periods as may be necessary, of office space and living quarters for personnel assigned abroad; maintenance, improvement, and repair of properties rented or leased abroad, and furnishing fuel, water, and utilities for such properties; insurance on official motor vehicles abroad; and advances of funds abroad; not to exceed $8,000 for expenses of travel; advances or reimbursements to other Government agencies for use of their facilities and services in carn?^ing out the functions of the Commission; hire of motor vehicles for field use only; and employment of aliens; $750,000.
