(b) The paragraph under the center heading " N A T I O N A L GLTARD'- in the hrst section of the District of Columbia Appropriation Act, 1961 (74 Stat. 25), is amended by striking out "at not to exceed $13,300 per annum". (c) The amendment made by this section shall take effect on the first day of the first pay period beginning on or after the date of enactment of this title. Approved June 30, 1970.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Civil defense United States of America In Congress assembled, That section 307 of emergency powers the Federal Civil Defense Act of 1950, as amended (50 U.S.C. App. extension. 2297), is further amended by striking out the date "June 30, 1970" go^l^J^f** ^"4;; and inserting in lieu thereof the date "June 30, 1974". Approved June 30, 1970. Public Law 91-300 JOINT RESOLUTION To extend the effectiveness of the Defense Production Act of 1950 to July 30, 1970.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. Section 717(a) of the Defense Production Act of 1950 is amended by striking out "June 30, 1970" in the first sentence and inserting in lieu thereof "July 30, 1970". Approved June 30, 1970.
