SEC. 1001. Appropriations contained in this Act, available for salaries and expenses, shall be available for services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109 but at rates not to exceed the per diem equivalent to the ^° ^*^*- '*^^rate for GS-18. ^ Ante. p. i98-i. For expenses necessary to carry out the purposes of the Act of August 13, 1946 (25 U.S.C. 70), as amended (81 Stat. 11), creating an Indian Claims Commission, $1,000,000, of which not to exceed $45,000 shall be available for expenses of travel.
