Public Law 92-289 JOINT RESOLUTION May 9, 1972 To authorize the President to issue a proclamation designating the month of [H. J. Res. 1029] May of 1972 as "National A r t h r i t i s Month".

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United states of Amsrica in Congress assembled, That the President of the ^^^^^^^^^ ArthaUnited States is authorized and requested to issue a proclamation oesTgnation (1) designating the month of May of 1972 as "National Arthritis authorization. Month", (2) inviting the Governors of the several States to issue proclamations for like purposes, and (3) urging the people of the United States, and educational, philanthropic, scientific, medical, and health care professions and organizations to provide the necessary assistance and resources to discover the causes and cures of arthritis ^^-^,,^, ^,,^ and rheumatic diseases and to alleviate the suffering of persons struck by these diseases.
