For expenses necessary to carry out the purposes of the Act of August 13, 1946 (25 U.S.C. 70), as amended (81 Stat. 11), creating an Indian Claims Commission, $1,075,000, of which not to exceed $10,000 shall be available for expenses of travel. EXPENSES

For necessary expenses to carry out the National Foundation on g/|^stat^^845; the Arts and the Humanities Act of 1965, as amended, $74,514,000, 20 USC 951 of which $27,825,000 shall be available until expended to the National n°te. Endowment for the Arts for the support of projects and productions in the arts through assistance to groups and individuals pursuant to 2 0 ITc 954.' section 5(c) of the Act; $6,875,000 shall be available until expended to the National Endowment for the Arts for assistance pursuant to 84^stat!44^3!445. section 5(g) of the Act; $34,500,000 shall be available until expended 20 USC 956. ' to the National Endowment for the Humanities for support of activities in the humanities pursuant to section 7(c) of the Act; and $5,314,000 shall be available for administering the provisions of the Act: Provided, That not to exceed 3 per centum of the funds appropriated to the National Endowment for the Arts for the purposes of sections 5(c) and 5(g) and not to exceed 3 per centum of the funds appropriated to the National Endowment for the Humanities for the purposes of section 7(c) shall be available for program development and evaluation. To carry out the provisions of section 10(a)(2) of the National Fouudation on the Arts and the Humanities Act of 1965, as amended, $7,000,000, to remain available until expended: Provided, That this appropriation shall be available for obligation only in such amounts as may be equal to the total amounts of gifts, bequests, and devises of money, and other property accepted by the Chairman of each Endowment under the provisions of section 10(a)(2) during the current and preceding fiscal years, for which equal amounts have not previously been appropriated.
