SEC. 20L This title may be cited as the "Teachers' Salary Act Amendmeiits of 1974". SEC. 202. The District of Columbia Teachers' Salary Act of 1955 (D.C. Code, sec. 31-1501 et seq.) is amended as follows: (1) Effective on the first day of the first pay period beginning on or after September 1, 1974, the salary schedule contained in section 1 of that Act (D.C. Code, sec. 31-1501^ is amended to read as follows: Provided, however, That salary paid to class l A shall not exceed the amount payable to level III of the Executive Schedule and that the salary paid to any other class shall not exceed the amount payable to level Vof the Executive Schedule:
