AN ACT rjy^ amend the Act of August 9, 1955, relating to school fare subsidy for transportation of schoolchildren within the District of Columbia.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 2 of the Act entitled "An Act to provide for the regulation of fares for the transportation of schoolchildren in the District of Columbia", approved August 9, 1955 (D.C. Code, sec. 44-214a), as amended by an Act approved October 18, 1968, and by an Act approved August 11, 1971, is further amended by deleting "1974" and substituting "1977". SEC. 2. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, or any rule of law, nothing in this Act (including the amendment made by this Act) shall be construed as limiting the authority of the Council of the District of Columbia to enact any act or resolution, after January 2, 1975, pursuant to the District of Columbia Self-Government and Governmental Reorganization Act with respect to any matter covered by this Act.
