For expenses of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy, including services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109, $730,000. For "Salaries and expenses" for the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, $182,500. OFFICE OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS POLICY SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For expenses necessary for the conduct of telecommunications functions assigned to the Director of the Office of Telecommunications Policy, including hire of passenger motor vehicles, and services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109, $8,500,000. For "Salaries and expenses" for the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, $2,100,000. SPECIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE PRESIDENT

For expenses necessary to enable the Vice President to provide assistance to the President in connection with specially assigned functions, services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109, but at rates for individuals not to exceed the per diem equivalent of the rate for grade GS-18, compensation for one position at a rate not to exceed the rate 5 USC 5332 note, of level II of the Executive schedule, and other personal services 5 USC 5313. without regard to the provisions of law regulating the employment and compensation of persons in the Government service, including hire of passenger motor vehicles, $978,000. For "Special assistance to the President" for the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, $244,000. THE W H I T E HOUSE OFFICE SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For expenses necessary for the White House Office as authorized by law, including not to exceed $3,850,000 for services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109, at such per diem rates for individuals as the President may specify, and other personal services without regard to the provisions of law regulating the employment and compensation of persons in the Government service; hire of passenger motor vehicles, newspapers, periodicals, teletype news service, and travel (not to exceed $100,000 to be accounted for solely on the certificate of the President); and not to exceed $10,000 for official entertainment expenses to be available for allocation within the Executive Office of the President; $16,763,000.
