For the preparation, under the direction of the Committees on Appropriations of the Senate and House of Representatives, of the statements for the second session of the Ninety-fourth Congress, showing appropriations made, indefinite appropriations, and contracts authorized, together with a chronological history of the regular appropriation bills as required by law, $13,000, to be paid to the persons designated by the chairman of such committees to supervise the work. TITLE IV OFFICE O F TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For salaries and expenses necessary to carry out the provisions of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 (Public Law 93-344), $9,319,200: Provided, That none of these funds shall be available for the purchase or hire of a passenger motor vehicle: Provided further, That none of the funds in this Act shall be available for salaries or expenses of any employee of the Congressional Budget Office in excess of 208 staff employees: Provided further, That the Congressional Budget Office shall have the authority to contract without regard to section 5 of title 41 of the United States Code (section 3709 of the Revised Statutes, as amended). For the Architect of the Capitol; the Assistant Architect of the Capitol; the Executive Assistant; and other personal services; at rates of pay^ provided by law, $1,770,100. Appropriations under the control of the Architect of the Capitol shall be available for expenses of travel on official business not to exceed in the aggregate under all funds the sum of $20,000.
