Public Law 94-271 94th Congress An Act To provide for the division of assets between the Twenty-Nine Palms Band and the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians, California, including certain funds in the United States Treasury, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior, acting for and on behalf of the United States and the Cabazon Band, is hereby authorized and directed to convey to the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians the beneficial interest in the northeast quarter northeast quarter northwest quarter and northeast quarter southeast quarter section 30, township 5 south, range 8 east, San Bernardino base and meridian, California, comprising two hundred and forty acres, more or less, as shown on Bureau of Land Management plat of survey approved July 30, 1927. SEC. 2. The conveyance authorized by this Act shall be by trust patent and title shall be held by the United States in trust for the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians. SEC. 3. The Secretary of the Interior is authorized and directed to distribute from the tribal fund of the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians to the tribal fund of the Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians the amount of $2,825, plus interest earned on that amount. Approved April 21, 1976.
