TRANSPORTATION

For an additional amount to enable the District of Columbia to meet its share of any operating deficit incurred in connection with the operation of the Phase I segment of the Metrorail system covering the period January 1, 1977, to June 30, 1977, $846,000, except that no such amount, or part thereof, shall be obligated until commitments have been made for the total operating deficit associated with the Phase I segment.

PERSONAL SERVICES

For an additional amount for "Personal services", $31,833,400, of which $1,866,000 shall be payable from the revenue sharing trust fund, and $4,000,000 shall be payable from funds to be received under Title II, Public Works Employment Act (Public Law 94-369), for pay 42 USC 6721. increases and related costs, to be transferred by the Mayor of the District of Columbia to the appropriations for the fiscal year 1977 from which employees are properly payable. SETTLEMENT OF CLAIMS AND SUITS

For an additional amount for "Settlement of claims and suits", $67,500. INAUGURAL EXPENSES

For "Inaugural expenses", $650,000. DIVISION OF EXPENSES

The sums appropriated herein for the District of Columbia shall be paid out of the general fund of the District of Columbia, except as otherwise specifically provided.
