For salaries and expenses of referees as authorized by the Act of June 28, 1946, as amended (11 U.S.C. 68, 102), not to exceed $35,300,000, to be derived from the Referees' salary and expense fund established in pursuance of said Act, and, to the extent of any deficiency in said fund, from any monies in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated. FURNITURE AND FURNISHINGS

For furniture and furnishings of the United States Courts of Appeals and District Courts, including transportation, installation, and other related expenses, $8,500,000; to be procured directly, or by the General Services Administration to the extent funds are transferred for that purpose, in compliance with guidelines prescribed by the Director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts. For salaries and expenses of pretrial services agencies established pursuant to title II of the Speedy Trial Act of 1974, including support of services to defendants released pending trial, $5,000,000, to remain available until expended.
