To authorize and request the President to issue a proclamation designating the first Sunday of September after Labor Day in 1978 as "National Grandparents Day".
Resohed by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the President is authorized and requested to issue a proclamation designating the first Sunday of September after Labor Day in 1978 as "National Grandparents Day", and calling upon the people of the United States and interested groups and organizations to observe such day with appropriate ceremonies and activities. Approved July 28, 1978.
