Motor vehicle SEC. 317. None of the funds appropriated under this Act shall be occupant ^ged to implement or enforce any standard or regulation which restraint systems, requires any motor vehicle to be equipped with an occupant restraint system (other than a belt system). SEC. 318. Nothing in section 317 of this title shall be construed to prohibit the use of funds for any research and development activity relating to occupant restraint systems. Short title. This Act may be cited as the "Department of Transportation and Related Agencies Appropriation Act, 1979". Approved August 4, 1978.
