Public Law 96-168 96th Congress Joint Resolution Dec. 29, 1979 [H.J. Res. 462] White House Preservation Fund. Sense of Congress.

Expressing the sense of Congress concerning the White House Preservation Fund.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That the White House Preservation Fund, a private nonprofit organization having for its primary purpose assisting in the preservation and enhancement of the historic and museum character of the White House and the cultural and historic traditions which the White House represents, is deserving of the encouragement and support of the American people in its nonpartisan program to raise an endowment to assure a permanent collection of, and perpetual care for, furniture, paintings, decorative art, and representative craftsmanship at the highest quality and of the most historical significance. Approved December 29, 1979.
