SEC. 501. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), the provisions of this Act shall take effect on October 1, 1979. 45 USC 743 note. (b) The amendments made by section 204 of this Act shall be effective as of the date of enactment of Public Law 95-597. Approved September 29, 1979.
