"(2) The President shall keep the Congress fully and currently informed of all defense articles, defense services, and military education and training provided under this section. "(c) There are authorized to be appropriated to the President such sums as may be necessary to reimburse the applicable appropriation, fund, or account for defense articles, defense services, and military education and training provided under this section.". (c) Section 516(a) of such Act is amended by striking out "until 22 USC 232ij. September 30, 1981," and all that follows thereafter and inserting in lieu thereof "shall remain available for a period of three fiscal years next following any fiscal year after the fiscal year 1977 for which assistance under this chapter has been authorized for a country, to the extent necessary to carry out obligations incurred under this chapter with respect to such assistance for such country on or before September 30 of such fiscal year.". STOCKPILING OF DEFENSE ARTICLES FOR FOREIGN COUNTRIES

SEC. 6. (a) Section 514 of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 is 22 USC 232ih amended— (1) in subsection (b)(2), by striking out "$90,000,000 for the fiscal year 1979" and inserting in lieu thereof "$95,000,000 for thefiscalyear 1980"; and (2) in subsection (c), by inserting "the Republic of Korea or" immediately after "stockpiles located in". (b) The President shall transmit to the Congress not later than Korea. December 31, 1979, a report regarding the stockpiling authorities for Report, transmittal to the Republic of Korea. The report shall— Congress. (1) detail the goals of the stockpiling program for the Republic 22 USC 2321h of Korea, including projections for additional stockpiling note. authority; (2) review the procedures for the transfer of stockpiled materiel in time of war and recommend changes if necessary; and (3) state the intentions of the executive branch with regard to the eventual peacetime disposition of the stockpiled materiel, including the general terms and conditions of any peacetime transfer. SEC 7. Section 515 of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 is 22use232ii. amended— (1) in subsection (b)(l)— (A) by striking out "fiscal year 1979" and inserting in lieu thereof "fiscal year 1980"; and (B) by inserting "Greece," immediately after "Panama,"; and (2) in subsection (f), by striking out "December 31, 1977" and inserting in lieu thereof "December 31, 1978". (a) Section 531(b)(l) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 is 92 Stat. 733. amended by striking out "for the fiscal year 1979, $1,902,000,000" and 22 USC 2346. inserting in lieu thereof "for the fiscal year 1980, $1,935,000,000".
