Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That the vacancy in the Smithsonian Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution, of the class other institution. than Members of Congress, caused by the resignation of Thomas J. Watson, Jr. of Connecticut on October 12, 1979, be filled by the appointment of Carlisle H. Humelsine of Virginia for the statutory term of six years. Approved March 13, 1980.
