An Act

To revise the boundary of Crater Lake National Park in the State of Oregon, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That (a) the first section of the Act entitled, "An Act reserving from the public lands in the State of Oregon, as a public park for the benefit of the people of the United States, and for the protection and preservation of the game, fish, timber, and all other natural objects therein, a tract of land herein described, and so forth", approved May 22, 1902 (32 Stat. 202), is amended to read as follows: "That in order to preserve for the benefit, education, and inspiration of the people of the United States certain unique and ancient volcanic features, including Crater Lake, together with significant forest and fish and wildlife resources, there is hereby established the Crater Lake National Park in the State of Oregon. The boundary of the park shall encompass the lands, waters, and interests therein within the area generally depicted on the map entitled, 'Crater Lake National Park, Oregon', numbered 106-80,001, and dated February 1980, which shall be on file and available for public inspection in the office of the National Park Service, Department of the Interior. Lands, waters, and interests therein within the boundary of the park which were within the boundary of any national forest are excluded from such national forest and the boundary of such national forest is revised accordingly.". Ob) The Act entitled "An Act to add certain land to the Crater Lake National Park in the State of Oregon, and for other purposes", approved May 14, 1932 (47 Stat. 155), is repealed. SEC. 2. To make possible more effective protection of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and more comprehensive and effective management of the management unit within the Alpine Lakes Area, established by the Alpine Lakes Area Management Act of 1976, the Secretary of Agriculture is authorized to acquire any or all of the following described lands in the State of Washington: in township 23 north, range 9 east, Willamette meridian, the southeast quarter of
