(b) Section 202(a) (8 U.S.C. 1152(a)) is amended by inserting after "year" the following: ": Andprovixied further. Effective dates. SEC. 21. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b) and in section 5(c), 8 USC 1101 note, the amendments made by this Act shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act. (b)(1) The amendments made by section 2(a) shall apply on and after the first day of the sixth month beginning after the date of the enactment of this Act. (2) The amendment made by section 16 shall apply to fiscal years beginning on or after October 1, 1981. Approved December 29, 1981.
