Cumberland wuderness

PUBLIC LAW 97-250—SEPT. 8, 1982 file and available for public inspection in the office of the Director of the National Park Service, Department of the Interior, and in the office of the Superintendent of the Cumberland Island National Seashore. (b) Within six months after the enactment of this Act, a map and a description of the boundaries of the Cumberland Island Wilderness shall be filed with the Energy and Natural Resources Committee of the United States Senate and with the Interior and Insular Affairs Committee of the United States House of Representatives. Such map and description shall have the same force and effect as if included in this Act, except that correction of clerical and typographical errors in such map and description may be made. (c) The wildorness area designated by this section shall be known ^ *^® Cumberland Island Wilderness. Subject to valid existing rights, the wilderness area shall be administered by the Secretary of the Interior in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Wilderness Act governing areas designated by that Act as wilderness areas, except that any reference in such provisions to the effective date of the Wilderness Act shall be deemed to be a reference to the effective date of this Act, and where appropriate, any reference in that Act to the Secretary of Agriculture shall be deemed to be a reference to the Secretary of the Interior.
