PUBLIC LAW 97-257—SEPT. 10, 1982 fiscal years) and which are subject to disbursement by the Secretary of the Senate for any purpose, then, if such unexpended balance is by law rescinded, any unpaid obligations chargeable to the balance so rescinded (or to appropriations for such purpose for prior years) shall be liquidated from any appropriations for the same general purpose, which, at the time of payment, are available for disbursement. SEC. 107. For the fiscal year ending September 30, 1982, and for each of the next three succeeding fiscal years, the Secretary of the Senate is authorized to pay to the General Services Administration such amounts as may be necessary to reimburse the Archivist of the United States for expenditures made to conduct a project to provide for the proper preservation of the Senate's records of continuing value, which expenditures cannot be defrayed from funds otherwise available for such purpose. The aggregate of the sums paid to the General Services Administration under this section shall not exceed $300,000. Amounts paid under this section shall be paid from the contingent fund of the Senate on vouchers approved by the Secretary of the Senate.
