SECRETARY OF THE SENATE For expenses of the Office of the Secretary of the Senate, $390,000. SERGEANT AT ARMS AND DOORKEEPER OF THE SENATE For expenses of the Office of the Sergeant at Arms and Door- keeper of the Senate, $32,869,000. STATIONERY (REVOLVING FUND) For stationery for the President of the Senate, $4,500, for officers of the Senate and the Conference of the Majority and the Confer- ence of the Minority of the Senate, $34,500; in all, $39,000. ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS SEC. 101. (a) Effective October 1, 1983, there is established within the Offices of the Majority and Minority Leaders the positions of Assistant to the Majority Leader for Floor Operations and Assistant to the Minority Leader for Floor Operations, respectively. Individ- uals appointed to such positions by the Majority Leader and Minor- ity Leader, respectively, shall receive compensation at a rate fixed by the appropriate Leader not to exceed the maximum annual rate of gross compensation of the Assistant Secretary of the Senate. (b) Effective October 1, 1983, the positions of Assistant to the Majority Leader for Floor Operations and Assistant to the Minority Leader for Floor Operations established by the Supplemental Appro- priations Act, 1977 (2 U.S.C. 61h-5), are abolished.
