PUBLIC LAW 98-407—AUG. 28, 1984 (4) The maximum annual rental for a family housing unit leased in the United States, Puerto Rico, or Guam under section 2828(b) of title 10, United States Code, is $6,000. (5)(A) The maximum annual rental for a family housing unit leased in a foreign country under section 2828(c) of title 10, United States Code, is $16,800. (B) The maximum number of family housing units that may be leased at any one time in foreign countries under section 2828(c) of title 10, United States Code, is 30,000. (6) The maximum rental per year for family housing facilities, or for real property related to family housing facilities, leased in a foreign country under section 2828(f) of title 10, United States Code, is $250,000. EFFECTIVE DATE FOR PROJECT AUTHORIZATIONS

SEC. 609. Titles I, II, III, IV, and V of this Act (other than section , 104) take effect on October 1, 1984.

SEC. 610. (a) In addition to the military construction projects authorized by section 201 of the Military Construction Authorization Act, 1984 (Public Law 98-115; 97 Stat. 762), the Secretary of the Navy may carry out a military construction project outside the United States at the Naval Station, Keflavik, Iceland, in the amount of $30,000,000. (b) The project authorized in subsection (a) is subject to the authorizations and limitations applicable to projects authorized in the Military Construction Authorization Act, 1984 (Public Law 98115; 97 Stat. 757), in the same manner as if such project had been authorized in that Act. The limit prescribed by section 602(b) of that Act on the total cost of all projects carried out under section 201 of that Act is hereby increased by the additional amount authorized to be appropriated by subsection (c). (c) There is hereby authorized to be appropriated for fiscal year 1984 for the Department of the Navy for the military construction project authorized by subsection (a), in addition to the amounts authorized to be appropriated by section 602(a)(2) of the Military Construction Authorization Act, 1984 (Public Law 98-115; 97 Stat. 778), the amount of $30,000,000. TITLE VII—GUARD AND RESERVE FORCES FACILITIES AUTHORIZATION FOR FACILITIES

SEC. 701. There are authorized to be appropriated for fiscal years beginning after September 30, 1984, for the costs of acquisition, architectural and engineering services, and construction of facilities for the Guard and Reserve Forces, and for contributions therefor, 10 USC 2231 et Under chapter 133 of title 10, United States Code (including the cost seq. of acquisition of land for those facilities), the following amounts: (1) For the Department of the Army— (A) for the Army National Guard of the United States $101,683,000, and (B) for the Army Reserve, $71,700,000. (2) For the Department of the Navy, for the Naval and Marine Corps Reserves, $62,000,000.
