For expenses of the Department of Energy, activities including the purchase, construction and acquisition of plant and capital equipment and other expenses incidental thereto necessary for general science and research activities in carrying out the purposes of the Department of Energy Organization Act (Public Law 95-91), including the acquisition or condemnation of any real property or facility or for plant or facility acquisition, construction, or expansion; purchase of passenger motor vehicles (not to exceed 13 for replacement only); $691,400,000, to remain available until expended of which $6,000,000 shall be derived by transfer from Operation and Maintenance, Southeastern Power Administration.

NUCLEAR WASTE DISPOSAL F\JND

For nuclear waste disposal activities to carry out the purposes of Public Law 97-425, including the acquisition of real property or facility construction or expansion, $521,460,000, to remain available until expended, to be derived from the Nuclear Waste Fund. To the extent that bsdances in the fund are not sufficient to cover amounts available for obligation in the account, the Secretary shall exercise his authority pursuant to section 302(e)(5) to issue obligations to the Secretary of the Treasury. ATOMIC ENERGY DEFENSE ACTTVITIES

For expenses of the Department of Energy activities including the purchase, construction and acquisition of plant and capital equipment and other expenses incidental thereto necessary for atomic energy defense activities in carrying out the purposes of the Department of Energy Organization Act (Public Law 95-91), including the acquisition or condemnation of any real property or any facility or for plant or facility acquisition, construction, or expansion; purchase of passenger motor vehicles (not to exceed 435 of which 274 are for replacement only) including 57 police-type vehicles; and purchase of three aircraft, one of which is for replacement only, $7,604,615,000, to remain available until expended, of which $97,325,000 shall be available for verification and control technology. DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATION

For sal£u-ies and expenses of the Department of Energy necessary for Departmental Administration and other activities in carrying out the purposes of the Department of Energy Organization Act (Public Law 95-91), including the hire of passenger motor vehicles and official reception and representation expenses (not to exceed $35,000); $410,366,000, all of which is available for fiscal year 1986 and shall remain available until expended, plus such additional amounts as necessary to cover increases in the estimated amount of cost of work for others notwithstanding the provisions of the AntiDeficiency Act (31 U.S.C. 1511 et seq.): Provided, That such increases in cost of work are offset by revenue increases of the same or greater amount, to remain available until expended: Provided further, That moneys received by the Department for miscellaneous revenues estimated to total $244,228,000 in fiscal year 1986 may be retained
