An Act

To extend temporarily the dairy price support program and certain food stamp program provisions, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That section 201(d)(1)(B) of the Agricultural Act of 1949 (7 U.S.C. 1446(d)(1)(B)) is amended by striking out "December 13, 1985" and inserting in lieu thereof "December 31, 1985". SEC. 2. The last sentence of section 17(b)(1) of the Food Stamp Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 2026(b)(l)) is amended by striking out "December 13, 1985" and inserting in lieu thereof "December 31, 1985". SEC. 3, Effective for the period beginning December 14, 1985, and ending December 31, 1985, section 19(a)(1)(A) of the Food Stamp Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 2028(a)(1)(A)) is amended by striking out "noncash". SEC. 4. Section 317(d) of the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938 (7 U.S.C. 1314c(d)) is amended by inserting after the first sentence the following new sentence: "Notwithstanding the foregoing sentence, the proclamation of the national marketing quota for the 1986 crop of Flue-cured tobacco may be made not later than December 31, 1985.".
