Notice to State Historic Preservation Officers and Federal Preservation Officers:
Beginning with this list, each property entered in the National Register will be denoted with 2 astericks (**) preceeding the name of the property if the nomination has been substantively reviewed by the National Park Service prior to being entered in the National Register. We urge States and Federal agencies to request, at the time of submission, substantive review of any nomination about which they have particular concerns about the eligibility of the property under National Register criteria, the acceptability of documentation, or other substantive issues. For nominations that have been listed without substantive review as part of the nomination monitoring system, States or Federal agencies may request a substantive review after listing if there are specific concerns about the evaluation of the property.
