SOARING BIRD.
A GLAD bird singing soars into the blue.
From yonder upward flight,
In summer's golden light,
How seems the world to you?
How looks its toil and care from higher view?

Does life from up above (so God must see)
Look changed? A gleaming bow
Over life's rain clouds glow?
Hark how that song rings free:—
Glad, soaring bird that sees farther than we!
