Is this preferable to a Portal:Czech Republic or Portal:Czechia? Other nations' portals detail their histories in addition to the current form of the nation, and Czech lands seem pretty coterminous with the modern nation. - I slightly prefer the name Czech lands which, because of its historic connotations, sounds good in connection with historical documents. This name is usually preferred in Czech context when speaking about Czech language territories in historical times, because people are not used to the new short form "Czechia", and the word "republic" in "the Czech Republic" suggests that only the modern country is meant.
