I'm not sure which version is the correct version. I've googled for both, and found results. Several versions use "fancy", and several others use "sad soul". Does anyone have a hard copy to compare? Jude (talk, contribs, email) 09:19, 19 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

All the versions I've ever seen use "my sad fancy".

Source should be exactly noted

Which edition is used? (Publisher, year. etc) -- 21:15, 1 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

the poem is not the orignal cuz it dosent say anything about lonre and the ravn only says nevermore

so this is not the orignal poem

It says that the second illustration by Gustave Doré was drawn in 1884. That can't be true, because Doré died in 1883.

It doesn't seem to say that at all. 1884 must be the publication date. I'll look into it and see what I can find. --Midnightdreary (talk) 01:47, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
From w:The Raven: "The Raven" was published independently with lavish woodcuts by Gustave Doré in 1884 (New York: Harper & Brothers). Doré died before its publication. --Midnightdreary (talk) 15:17, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
