(1883); b. 1831; 2nd s. of late Thomas Church, B.C.S.; Educ.: Addiscombe Coll; entered Madras Armv, 1850; Captain 1864; Major, 1870; Lieut Col, 1876; Col. 1881; Major-General, 1891; commanded the Madras Volunteer Guards, 1873-1888. Recreations: shooting, and fishing. Address: 29, Beauchamp Avenue, Leamington Spa.
