Rawlins, Thomas William, I.C.S., (retired); educ: Clare College; passed the I.C.S. examination, 1860; joined service and arrived in India, 1863; posted to N.W.P. where he served as Assistant Magistrate and Collector, etc.; became Judge of the Court of Small Causes, Allahabad, 1872; transferred to Government of India service (Financial branch), 1877; Accountant-General and Deputy Commissioner of Paper Currency, Punjab, 1880; Accountant-General, Madras, 1888; retired, 1896.
