Sahespur, Raja of; Kishen Kumar; b. 1848; educ: privately; great g.s. of Rai Athmaram, who was Chakladar of Bijnor; his grand father, Pardaman Kishen, rendered service to the British in the Mutiny of 1857 and received a liberal grant of estates; the present Raja has also inherited estates from his maternal grandfather; is a good scholar and possesses a valuable library; has contributed liberally to the Agra College and the M.A.O. College, Aligarh; has founded scholarships for poor students, has built and endowed a hospital and an asylum for lepers; is Honorary Magistrate and 8th in the list of Provincial Durbaris; title of Raja made hereditary, and confirmed, 1882. Publications: Diwan Vikar, Iktirai Jahid, and some poems. Address: Sahespur, Bilari Post, Moradabad district, U.P., India.
