DAL′LAS. A town and the county-seat of Paulding County, Ga., about 35 miles west by north of Atlanta; on the Southern Railway. New Hope Church, four miles from Dallas, was the scene of a sharp conflict (May 25-28, 1864) between the armies of General Sherman and General Johnston. Population, in 1890, 455; in 1900, 644.
