Re: Proceedings as to Criminal Justice

WHEREAS it is expedient to prescribe a duty on an accused in a criminal case to make fingerprints in accordance with an order of a criminal justice officer, so as to enhance the efficient prevention and suppression of crimes; THE COUNCIL FOR DEMOCRATIC REFORM HEREBY DECREED:
An accused in a criminal case shall bear the duty to make fingerprints, handprints or footprints in accordance with an order of a public prosecutor, judicial officer or inquirer. The contravener shall be deemed to have committed an offence against justice and be liable to imprisonment for a term of not exceeding six months, or to a fine of not exceeding one thousand baht or to both.
The present Announcement shall come into force as from the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.[1]
