Chap. LXXVII.An Act explanatory of the act entitled “An act to prevent defalcations on the part of the disbursing agents of the Government, and for other purposes.”

Act of Jan. 1828, ch. 2, not to apply to pensions.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the act entitled “An act to prevent defalcations on the part of the disbursing agents of the Government, and for other purposes,” approved the twenty-fifth of January, eighteen hundred and twenty-eight, shall not be construed to authorize the pension of any pensioner of the United States to be withheld.
