Chap. LXXXVI.An Act for the relief of John Pitchlyn.

Compensation for services as an interpreter.Be it enacted, &c., That the proper accounting officers of the department of war be, and they are hereby authorized and required, to settle and adjust the account of John Pitchlyn, late an interpreter for the Choctaw Indians, and to allow him a reasonable compensation for his services from the first of February, one thousand seven hundred and eighty-six, until the third of March, one thousand seven hundred and eighty-nine, the amount whereof shall be paid out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
