Two years later...

The Way of the Cross is OCR'd. Sorry that took so long, I wasn't even aware of the OCR WikiProject until yesterday. It is now at Index:The Way of the Cross, Doroshevich, tr. Curses! It can, however, still be hosted at WS, since WS has no requirement of being PD in the country of origin, just in the US (and pre-1923 is very helpful in that respect). Sorry, but I think it should not be uploaded on Commons in first place. There is something to consider to WikiSource contributors too. Во многих странах, включая страны бывшего СССР, скульптуры охраняются авторскими правами и их фотографии крупным планом нельзя использовать коммерческих целях без разрешения скульптора. Смотрите w:ru:Википедия:Свобода панорамы.

Подобные вопросы лучше задавать на месте загрузки :-)

I have requested an undelete/restore request as well. This is a company owned image, and I am uploading on behalf of the company (regional maple leaf communications). Please let me know what should be done to get the iamge restored ASAP.

Please ask publisher to send permission (see commons:Commons:Email templates as example to commons:Commons:OTRS). Then you could use commons:Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard to make process faster.

Please use relevant project next time to discuss issues happened there.

Вас загрызают сомнения относительно подлинности используемых мною работ для иллюстрации статей? И да, я вам со всей ответственностью заявляю, что это - таки мой собственный личный архив. И даже многие из снимков сделаны мной собственноручно. Удивлены? Я пишу о людях, с которыми не просто знаюсь лично, НО: один из этих замечательных людей - часть моей семьи, со вторым нас связывает долгая многолетняя дружба, профессия и совместная работа. Неужели вы думаете, что без личного согласия авторов эти файлы каким-то загадочным образом телепортируются на мой компьютер с их собственных машин? И много у вас самого таких примеров? Может, поройтесь - и отыщете на своем компе чего подобного? И с каких таких пор личный архив не является моей-размоей собственностью? Ах, ё-моё, "small/inconsistent resolutions, different cameras"! - и да, как вы думаете, почему это камеры различны, если человек использует их в разные временные отрезки целой своей жизни, и как вы таки думаете ещё, почему это resolutions is small, ежели я готовлю публикацию для интернета? И смею заметить, согласитесь, что чудесная Вики даже не оставляет выбора, кроме как заявлять из прав "my own work", и лицензию "CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication, all rights waived". Передавать в общественное достояние может только автор. Судя по Вашим словам, таковым Вы в некоторых случаях не являетесь. Стандартная процедура в таких случаях - OTRS (образец).

Если Вы сделали фотографии - Вы можете загрузить их в полном разрешении, чтобы подтвердить Ваше авторство.

Настоятельная просьба: на будущее обсуждать проблемы в том проекте, где они случились. И очень желательно без эмоций.

Проблема с копирайтами

Привет. Я стартонул топик https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_Strike_Portable Я один из разработчиков данной игры. Изображения я рисовал и обрабатывал сам. Но мои изображения не проходят по какимто правам. Все картинки что я делал делались для соц сетей и wiki. В соц сети добавились без проблем, сюда не понятно. Подскажите что мне делать. Прошу не удалять картинки, через 3 дня буду в головном офисе в Финляндии и оттуда отправим картинки... Спасибо.

Пожалуйста, попросите юридический отдел послать разрешение в commons:Commons:OTRS (пример: commons:Commons:Email templates) или подтверждение того, что авторские права Вами фирме не передавались. Several photos are commons:Commons:Derivative works from book pages. Who are authors of text and illustrations? Photo of you grandfather looks taken in 1930s (I may be mistaken in that). I nominated your files for deletion, because Wikibooks is much better place for such projects as well as wiki-text is better then PDF for expanding content and fixing mistakes. If you are going to nominate files for copyright reasons on Commons, at least have the courtesy to let Wikisource administrators know about the potential deletion so the files can be migrated to local version if possible. I had concerns about this work previously, but the consensus at WS:CV (Wikisource:Copyright_discussions#Index:Canadian_Singers_and_Their_Songs.djvu_ was that it was PD in the US, and hence a local version of the file would have been acceptable. I am well aware of that policy (as a long-time contributor). However, I've been told (sometimes rather firmly) by other administrators here in respect of more than one previous Index : and File:, that if I nominated something on Commons, which is used extensively here, that I as the nominator need to let this project know, so that ALL the relevant associated pages can be reviewed locally, and appropriate measures taken BEFORE a file is deleted on Commons. Important factors are: country of origin, dates of life of author(s)(editor(s), translator(s))/date of publication, depending on country of origin. From my Commons experience I could tell that Indian books uploaders often forget to specify such data. Country-specific laws could be found on commons:Commons:Copyright rules by territory.

In this particluar case more data is needed for (I checked only Wikisource descriptions):

W wypadku ulotki "Towarzystwa Pomost" sprawa jest jasna - jest to ulotka z tekstem podpisanym przez 2 osoby z nieistniejącego już stowarzyszenia, ono było autorem i z racji rozpowszechniania tejże udziela "domniemanej zgody" wszystkim na rozpowszechnianie. W drugim - okładka pisma podziemnego ("Międzymorze" 1987). Ja byłem redaktorem i to z tej racji ja mam do tego prawa.Barnim1964 (talk) 18:58, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

Some help

Hi not sure if this is the right place to ask this question (it's a little confusing for me) so apologies if I've got this wrong. I see however that you've deleted media that I uploaded stating copyright - however I'm confused re this. I wrote to the owner of the media and was granted permission to use these - is this not sufficient? Or is there another process to upload in these situations. Ever image I have used has been given permission to use, after I formally contacted the individual concerned and advised that I was creating articles on his theories. Здравствуйте, Евгений. Уже в третий раз я получаю предупреждение по данному файлу (вы в этот раз добавили ещё и вопрос по всем предыдущим загруженным мною файлам), который касается авторства (полного или частичного) данных изображений. Я самостоятельно полностью отрисовал все эти файлы в векторном редакторе. Всё, включая лого и изображение земной поверхности - моя работа (для карты использовался старый космоснимок низкого разрешения с бесплатного ресурса много лет назад). Можете проверить сайт официального перевозчика - ничего даже близко подобного у них нет (http://www.irkget.ru/). Именно их полное безразличие к имеющимся схемам и сподвигло меня провести много часов за созданием собственных иллюстраций для Википедии. Скажите, что конкретно требуется указать в Источниках, потому как каждый раз предлагать отправить мои собственные векторные исходники для доказательства того, что работа моя - это не выход - следующий проверяющий начинает вывешивать предупреждение на удаление, и меня это уже порядком утомило :((( Если никакого постоянного решения нет, то мне проще удалить эти файлы, чем снова и снова получать эти предупреждения. С уважением.

Вы не могли бы уточнить про старый космоснимок низкого разрешения с бесплатного ресурса (что за ресурс, лицензия)? И это надо отразить в описании ко всем изображениям. А https://openstreetmap.org не может быть использован в качестве основы (с лицензией там всё правильно)?
