Vortigern and Rowena
by William Henry Ireland

Vortigern and Rowena is one of the most famous Shakespeare forgeries. Written by William Henry Ireland, it was quickly found to be a fake. Its first performance was on the 2nd of April 1796, and it was played again 2008 and 2013, the former portraying it in a comedic way. The titular characters are real British historical people.
