595 Fu-ning-an 富甯安. Died A.D. 1729. Son of O-lan-t'ai. As President of the Censorate and of various Boards he had already earned a great name when in 1715 Ts'ê-wang Arabtan invaded Hami. In 1717 he was appointed Commander-in-chief and sent to Barkul, whence he attacked the Sungar borders and presently advanced to Urumtsi. In 1721 he was himself attacked at Turfan, but inflicted several defeats on the enemy, who "fled far away." In 1723 he became a Grand Secretary, but did not return to Peking till 1726. He received many marks of honour, and was ennobled as Marquis, a title he lost in 1729 for remissness. Canonised as 文恭 , and included in the Temple of Worthies.
