MATTHEW. The Jewish Apostle. He is not mentioned in the text of the Book of Mormon; but reference is made to him in the heading of chapters 12, 13 and 14 of III Nephi, as much that appears in these chapters is also found in Matthew, chapters 5, 6 and 7.
