AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICTS OF SUDIPEN, SANTOL, SAN GABRIEL, AND PUGO, PROVINCE OF LA UNION, INTO REGULAR MUNICIPALTIES
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
SECTION 1.
- The Governor-General is hereby authorized to organize the municipal districts of Sudipen, Santol, San Gabriel, and Pugo, Province of La Union, into regular municipalities in accordance with the provisions of chapter fifty-seven of the Administrative Code, when in his judgment such organization would be for the best interests of the inhabitants thereof.
SEC. 2.
- Upon the organization of said municipal districts into municipalities as provided in the preceding section, the present officials thereof shall continue to perform the duties of their respective offices until their successors shall have been duly elected and qualified in accordance with the Election Law.
SEC. 3.
- This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
