On the inauguration of the Irish Free State, I desire, on behalf of my colleagues and myself, to convey to you a message of greeting and of good will. You may be assured that we on our part will do all that lies in our power to further the common ends we have both in view-the peace and prosperity of Ireland and lasting concord between the two countries.
